I ran the first Star Trek convention in the Washington, DC area (The August Party) from 1975 to 1985. Published my first fanzine in 1973. Have been a character in half a dozen Trek novels. I was on the set during the filming of "Encounter at Farpoint" after publishing the first STTNG fanzine several months before shooting began (now THERE's a story).
