Subject: Trekkies Film

I've been a fan of Star Trek since the original series first aired. I was one among many who signed (and urged others to sign) the petitions to keep the original series from being canceled. I don't go to conventions or belong to any of the fan clubs, but I have enjoyed all the treks from the original through the current Voyager.

I saw this video in my video store and found the premise intriguing. I wasn't sure what sort of treatment the trekkies/trekkers/'others' would receive in this film.. I was hoping there wouldn't be anything too critical. I was very pleased with the result.

It was nice to see a documentary on the 'Star Trek Fan Phenomena'. I don't understand it myself, even though I am a fan. I appreciated the fact that the film did not seem to be endorsing the devotion of the fans nor was it putting them down (as so many have).

I wanted to say thank you for a very interesting film. (It's great there is a web site for it.)
