Hello to all "trekkies" out there.
My name is Maude and I am 18 years old. I am from Quebec City and attending an english college. I have an assignment to do on a social phenomenon, and being a "trekkie" myself I choose to do it on Startrek.
I love the series, I love the movies, I love the characters. But what I like the most about Startrek is that it stimulates my imagination like nothing else. Who knows, one day I may even write a book...
I was very happy to find this site. It will be a good addition to my research. Here inQuebec, "trekkies" are not well understood. It's alright to watch all of the sitcoms, but not to watch Star Trek...
I wish the Star Trek phenomenon was known better here in Quebec. Nevertheless, I like the show, what can I do about it but be true to myself. Quebecers just don't know what they miss!
