I was worried the doc would focus too much on the fringe element of Trek fandom. But, except for two segments (the transvestite, and the engineer in the Pike chair) that either needed to be left out or severely edited, I believe it represented Trek fans fairly well. I think they put those parts in for comedic relief, but it was more ridiculous than funny. Gabriel, himself, made a fine example; and presented himself very respectfully. As its title indicated, it features primarily Trekkies, not Trekkers. I would have preferred, though, that it include more casual fans, and more people like Gabriel who are less obscure or obsessed or deranged). Despite that, my brother and I both enjoyed the show.
