It was really great seeing a documentary about Star Trek fandom. My favorite part has to be seeing my friend Diana Morgan, a school teacher who was interviewed for this film. Thank you for including her in this project. You see, Diana passed away a little more than a year ago from cancer, and never had the chance to see this project in its completed form. Diana was an elementary school teacher in Sacramento, CA, and used Star Trek in her classroom to help teach science. In addition, she was the founder of our Sci-Fi fan club the USS Oberon and its offspring, The Oberon Group. The club that she founded has worked hard to promote the ideas envisioned by Gene Roddenberry, and have been active in the local and national community, providing assistance to organizations such as the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Comic Relief, the United Way, as well as helping to bring a Challenger Learning Center to Sacramento. From all of us in the Oberon Group, I want to thank you for giving us an opportunity to remember our friend, and a friend to all Trekdom.
Sincerely, Mark Gold Executive Officer/Vice President The USS Oberon/The Oberon Group
